Art Modules: 10 week curriculum, from pencil modules to acrylic.
Exciting News! Art Friends Creative Classes are now enrolling for Spring 2026 @ Padbury Pavilion 🎨
At Art Friends, you can choose between individual art modules; such as pencil, watercolour, or acrylic, or opt for the full 10-week term to explore a wide range of art forms. This comprehensive creative journey introduces you to various techniques and styles, helping you discover your unique artistic voice and passion along the way. Each of our classes have our art tutor demonstrate the subject of the day, and will provide all reference material for you to follow if you wish.
Please find here our upcoming spring term classes, starting in January 2026
Week 1 - Pencil study 'Hedgehog' We look at pencils. HB to 8B. How to work with depth of colour and an intro to composition.
Week 2 - Pencil study 'Smokey London'. Learn about perspectives. Working in graphite to create depth and contrast.
Week 3 - Oil pastels 'Seaside Springtime' Introduction to oil pastels. Explore different coloured paper, smudging and blending.
Week 4 - Watercolour 'Bluebell Woods' Introduction to watercolour painting. Colour theory, and exploring painting techniques.
Week 5 - Watercolour & Ink 'Tea For Two' Whimsical ink and watercolour still life study. Working with ellipses and scale.
Week 6 - Watercolour 'A Stroll With My Dog' Watercolour wet-in-wet, glazing and composition.
Week 7 - Watercolour & Ink 'Four Legged Friends' A fun look at cartoon ink and watercolour, animal anatomy and abstraction.
Week 8 - Acrylic 'Portrait Of A Friend' Introduction to portraiture and acrylic paint. We look at 'grounding', complementary colour and impasto painting.
Week 9 - Acrylic 'Low Tide' Exploring landscape painting, working with palette knife and colour theory
Week 10 - Acrylic 'Corner Rendezvous' Scale and composition. Further work in grounding, layering and impasto.
Spring Term:Â

Wednesdays January 14th Jan - 18th March
